  • Is April the best month for birding on Hilton Head?

  • I am visiting from out of state and am looking for a Painted Bunting. It would be a lifer for me and I am hoping to see one on this trip.

  • Where can I see a blue or painted bunting? Or an Eagles nest?

  • Looking for help finding roseate spoonbills while visiting.

  • Any suggestions for a visitor to find Oystercatchers?

  • I will be on HHI from Nov 4-11 and I am curious if there are many bird species viewable at this time of year. I have read that Pinckney island and Sea Pines are good spots in general but wondered about November.

  • We’ll be visiting from southwest Ohio soon and would like to see a Red-cockaded Woodpecker. We came up empty at Donnelly WMA last year. Anywhere around Columbia, Orangeburg, or Hilton Head would be great. TIA!
